After an inspiring Opening Plenary and first day of the Club of Rome’s International Conference on Earth-Humanity Reconciliation, in Suzhou, China; Day 2 of the conference continues with discussion and reflection on the pursuit of planetary peace and human security, rooted in inclusive and global cooperation.
This morning, BRIDGES Executive Director, Steven Hartman, took part in an enriching session which focussed on the intersection of culture, learning, and imagination as the driving forces behind humanity's ability to live regeneratively.
Thursday 6 November 2025: Session 2: Cultural conditions for ecological wellbeing: Integrating all knowledge and wisdom for regenerative economies and lives Panellists will discuss the role of learning and education, a unitive vision of sciences and wisdoms, integrative approaches to navigating across worldviews, and regenerative principles for the economy and society.
Session Description:
This panel explored how cultural foundations, learning systems and collective imagination shape humanity's capacity to live regeneratively. It invited reflection on how education and knowledge, both scientific and traditional, can be woven together to foster limitless hope and guide the transition toward ecological wellbeing. By embracing integrated approaches across worldviews and nurturing a unified vision of science and wisdom, the discussion sought to illuminate how regenerative principles can be embedded within economies, societies and daily life, enabling cultures of care, balance and renewal.
