MESH Recordings

Last month, MESH launched their very own Youtube channel featuring recorded keynotes from their MESH symposia as well as lectures from their Research Fruits lecture series. This month, they have added three new recordings (so far!):

Felix Dorn | “A New Frontier of Decarbonization? Green Hydrogen in South America” | Recording of a MESH Research Fruits Lecture

This Research Fruits Lecture, recorded in 2025, was co-organized by the Thematic Area “Infrastructures” of the Global South Studies Center (GSSC) as GSSC's Public Lecture Series in cooperation with the Cologne Geographical Society (Gesellschaft für Erdkunde zu Köln e.V.). Felix Dorn talks about how green hydrogen (GH2) is increasingly regarded as a key element of the global energy transition.

Prof. Dr. Alison Pouliot | "Fostering Fungal Networks of the Subterrain" | Recorded @ the MESH Symposium 2024 on Multispecies Conviviality

Speaking at the MESH Symposium 2024 on Multispecies Conviviality, Prof. Dr. Alison Pouliot from the Rachel Carson Center in Munich presents her work as an ecologist and environmental photographer through her talk "Fostering Fungal Networks of the Subterrain". Pouliot is especially interested in forgotten corners and lifeforms; the stuff that slips between the cracks and aims to convey the extraordinariness of life, both peculiar and familiar.

Prof. Dr. Anne Pattel-Gray | "Australia's First Nations EcoSpirituality" | Recorded @ the MESH Symposium 2023 on Decolonial Cultural Ecologies

At the MESH Symposium 2023 on Decolonial Cultural Ecologies, we hear from Prof. Dr. Anne Pattel-Gray, Professor of Indigenous Studies and inaugural Head of the School of Indigenous Studies at the Australian University of Divinity in her talk titled "Australia's First Nations EcoSpirituality: A Deep Sense of the Sacred and Connection to Country". She is a descendant of the Bidjara / Kari Kari people of Queensland and a celebrated Aboriginal theologian, biblical scholar and Indigenous activist. In her talk, she provides a biblical interpretation that highlights colonial influence and justification for land theft, domination, environmental destruction, and climate chaos.

Enjoy the lectures and don't forget to subscribe to the MESH YouTube channel!
